Calculations

Roof measurements you type stay in your browser. PitchCalc does not upload length, width, pitch, or addresses to a server for the calculators. There is no account and no calculation API.

Anonymous usage

On the production site, PitchCalc uses Google Analytics 4 to record calculator type, input mode, copy or print actions, and coarse result buckets such as a squares range. Page and event URLs are origin plus pathname only. Exact dimensions, including values in the URL hash, are not sent.

Google Analytics 4 may collect device, browser, approximate location, and interaction data and may use cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish visits. PitchCalc does not send names, email addresses, street addresses, or exact roof measurements in its analytics events.

Cookies

The site does not require an account or saved cookie to use the calculators. Google Analytics 4 may set analytics cookies when its tag is loaded on the production site.

Advertising

PitchCalc retains Google AdSense publisher verification, but does not load the AdSense advertising script or serve display ads. Google Analytics 4 remains in use as described above.

Before enabling advertising, we will check that advertising requests do not include calculator measurements and update this policy to reflect the actual setup. Ads will be limited to ordinary content pages, excluding pop-ups, email and empty screens.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies, web beacons, and similar identifiers to serve ads based on a visit to this site or other sites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. This happens when ad tags are present; it can include impression or click pixels even when a visible ad unit is empty.

You can opt out of personalized ads in Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. This policy will be updated again if the advertising partners or cookie practices change.
